Les étudiants de première année de BTS CI ont fait leur rentrée jeudi 7 septembre. La rentrée des étudiants de deuxième année a eu lieu le lendemain, le vendredi 8 septembre.
Ce temps a permis de faire un point sur les éléments suivants : le règlement intérieur, les différentes matières, les épreuves du BTS (épreuves ponctuelles et en CCF). Mais il a permis aussi aux étudiants d’échanger sur le stage à l’étranger qui est un moment fort de la formation et de réaliser des activités à la fois ludiques et favorisant l’acquisition de compétences communicationnelles.

Mrs Declerck has proposed two games to our students.
The game Two Truths and a Lie
One student has to give three statements about himself or herself to the rest of the group. Two of the statements given should be true and one should be a lie. Then, the rest of the group has to guess which statement is false. Once everyone has made their guess, the statement which is a lie is revealed by the student.
The game Time’s up
It’s played over three rounds. The class was divided into two groups.
The aim of the game is to guess expressions.

Debates about climate change and the war in Ukraine
Students have taken part in two debates :
What are the challenges posed by climate change ? How can we cope with them ?
How does the war in Ukraine impact the French economy ?
« This debate helped me to talk about this issue and give arguments to cope with climate change. I think that climate change is a health and environmental issue. To fight against it, we should live in an economical way and consume less energy and resources. » Maureen
« Due to climate change, there are some countries which discover many problems like floods and forest fires. So the governement must convince the people to use less plastic. » Jamaï
« I feel climate change impacts the world and everyone because it provokes accidents and so many people die because it is very hot. To stop that, we have to stop using the things that pollute the world. » Dayenne
« There are forest fires across many countries and cities go through heat waves, terrifying storms and water shortages. If we don’t stop polluting, the Earth will become unlivable soon. To solve this problem, we need to recycle more products and think together what is best for the planet. » Vanessa

Discussion about the 10-week internship
« For my internship, I want to go to Spain or Belgium because it’s a very beautiful place and to improve my pronunciation in Spanish. I have never been there and this will be a first for me. » Guillaume
« I would like to go to Florida to carry out my internship, firstly to improve my English and discover this place. The english-speaking countries interest me a lot, in particular the United States. » Maureen

Les deux journées de rentrée se sont achevées par un moment convivial vendredi de 16h à 17h, un petit salé sucré en musique !
